13
The movie '13' reminded me of the confusion of my own adolesants. A pivotal point and time in a persons life, wondering which way to go. So many choices and changes that come with the transition: to be cool, popular, independent, smart, athletic, all screaming continue to LOVE ME, As I FIND MYSELF! The movie made me cry, because it's so easy to give up on hope of making it through the 'darkest of times.' I went through a wide aray of emotions while watching it and wished that we as a society had a different and less painful rights of passage. The ending really moved me especially when her mother tried to love & kiss away all her pain. She couldn't fix the physical part of the brokeness, but ritually & spiritually I felt the healing began. WOW

a tough one to watch---makes you want to hug your kid, and pay attention. Different world then when we grew up huh Kelly?
For Sure! The children today have far greater pressures than we did. At my 25th year class reunion the teachers who taught then said, they Would Not teach in this time. Children bringing guns into schools, selling drugs, lacking parental guidance-all receipe's- in their mind for diaster. In our time, it wasn't necessary for a school to have a permenant police presence. Surely a different World!
